CLA Exam

Established in 1976, the CLA program is the nation's premiere certification procedure for paralegals. Today, over 11,000 have earned the use of this professional designation and the CLA program is recognized throughout the United States as a means of identifying competent paralegals.

The Certifying Board for Legal Assistants is responsible for the content, standards and administration of the Certified Legal Assistant Program.

In order to ascertain that you have met the requirements to sit for the exam, please visit the NALA website.

CLA Review Course

National Paralegal College offers a two-month review course to prepare students and alumni for the CLA Exam. The review course starts two months before each examination date.

The course is taught by an NPC attorney/instructor who is experienced not only in the subject matter covered on the exam, but also in general test preparation techniques for exams such as the SAT and the LSAT.
